Summer’s Over

Well, sovaldi I hung up my beach hat until next year. I’m ready, actually, I’m more then ready. I can not wait for cooler weather and the beginning of the Fall season. These past few months have been way too hot. Our paper this morning said that this Summer has been Delaware’s hottest on record.

On the drive home I stopped at one of the many roadside stands to bring home some fruits and vegetables. I love the peaches. There is nothing like Summer peaches from southern Delaware, and I wanted to get a lot of them. I bought some eggplants too. Instead of the usual deep purple ones, I bought some white ones. I’m going to make eggplant ┬áparmigian for dinner.

I did not know this, but the farmer’s wife told me that the white eggplants were the first eggplants grown. I guess that’s where they go their name. They’re white like an eggs, and shaped like an egg, and they’re a plant.

I was also anxious to get home to finish a painting I have been working on for a customer, and I thought you would like to see it before I ship it to her.

I had so much fun painting it, and now I’m inspired to paint more. The coloring looks faded, my customer wanted it that way, like an old painting that has faded over time from the sun.

Well, it’s time to go visit my mother. It’s been too long. I can’t wait to see her. I have not visited her that much since she has been in her new facility. Maybe tomorrow I’ll tell you about my visit. Until then-

Happy day

The painting is beautiful. I love how you made the colors appear faded as if it was painted 100 years ago. Glad to hear you are inspired to paint more. I look forward to seeing them. Hope you have a wonderful visit with your mother. My mother lives with me since the passing of my father so I get to visit with her every day.
    Blessings to you and yours,

…I’m happy too that Summer has faded. When it gets so terribly hot where it’s a danger to any living thing then it’s time to go… I say the same regarding Winter and it’s dreadful freezing temps too. I noticed this morning that leaves are turning on our ol’ mulberry tree… :o )

    …Blessings girl…

Thank you, Barb, for your nice comment. You are blessed to have your mother with you. If I could, I would care for my mother, but it’s just not possible to do that.
