Good Morning

Good morning everyone. Today is another full day. I want to visit my mother today. Seems I don’t have as much time lately to see her and it bothers me that I don’t. I’m doing the best I can, patient but with so many other things to do, sovaldi it makes it hard to find the time. My brother had a stroke and lost his speech. That’s a terrible thing to happen, no rx but I am thankful that it wasn’t worse. He is told that he will get it back but it could take six months to a year. I hope that’s true and pray that it won’t take that long. I gave a lot of thought about telling my mother. I decided against it. What good would that do. It would only upset her and I don’t want to do that. I told her he has the flu and that’s why he has not called for a while. She’s fine with that.

This week I’ll be decorating for Christmas. I think we’ll have a real tree this year. I haven’t had one for a couple of years, and I miss that wonderful smell. I have decided to decorate more simply this year. One thing I do enjoy is displaying my early dolls, bears, and some toys I still have from my childhood.

There will be some new items in the store later today, so be sure to have a look. This cute little kitty is one of them. The little wooden handmade violin is wonderful. I have owned it for over 30 years and decided it’s time to let it go for someone else to enjoy.

I love this old looking doll too, but she needs someone to adopt her and dress her for the holidays.

I have to run now. It’s getting late and the day will be half over before I know it.

    Hi Carole~

I hope that you were able to visit with your mother. My thoughts and prayers for you, your brother and your family.
I think a simple decor for Christmas would be lovely….I try to pare down each Christmas and rotate decoration, and a “real” tree will smell so nice too!
Did you paint that Santa with his pipe in the first photo? I love him!

Thanks Suzanne for your thoughts and prayers. How kind of you. I have always had a real tree and NEVER EVER thought I would consider having an artificial one but I found one a few years ago that looks so real, I bought it. It’s nice to be able to put it up right away and not have to water it, but this year I want the real thing. I miss the smell.
The Santa on the box was not painted by me. I bought it several years ago while on vacation.
    Merry Christmas, Suzanne.

It’s hard to find educated people on this subject, but you sound like you know
    what you’re talking about! Thanks
