Yesterday morning I drove to the condo in Rehoboth. I sold a sweet little antique picnic basket in my store the other day, site and forgot that I had it at the beach. It was a good reason to go, and do some antiquing along the way. I usually stop in a little town, called Milton. There are two antique shops there. I don’t usually find anything, but you just never know. I must have looked at every single little thing in that store, but could not find one thing that I couldn’t resist, so on to the next stop. There was nothing there either, but I did meet up with a friend. She was antiquing too, and was having no luck either. We decided that ice cream would help. After eating a strawberry cheesecake blizzard and a chocolate sundae, we decided to try 2 more shops before we went home. I’m glad I didn’t give up. Any little find is always fun, no matter how small. Do you not love this little box! It’s looks like a miniature candle box. Nice and early, with a wonderful patina and just the right wear. Behind it is my tramp art box, in old blue paint. I should show you a better picture, and I will in another post. The tiny oil lamp was just too wonderful to resist, and it looks perfect sitting with the little candlebox. Love it!! I found this early inkwell too. I just loved the tin rim around it’s opening. Too cute! The little wallpaper covered box is one that I made last year. I am going to have to make the time to make more. This wonderful hand wrought heart shaped trivet, was calling my name. I have a “thing” for hearts and I loved this shape and the turned feet just pushed me over the edge. Had to have it.

So I didn’t come home empty handed, and if I did, it would have been ok, It was a fun day, but by now, it was getting late, close to dinner time, and we were getting hungry, yes hungry, even after that ice cream. Now a nice glass of wine, a good meal, was just the ticket. My webmaster husband will have new goodies in the store today, if he keeps his promise, so be sure to take a look. I have to admit, I am thinking about a pair of little early red socks. I should have bought them. Maybe they’ll still be there next time.
Happy day

Hi Suzanne. My friend is going to stop at the shop today where I saw the little socks. If they are still there, she is going to pick them up for me.
Thanks for the visit. Come again.
