I Have Some Sad News

Yesterday was a sad day. I went to the garden, viagra and found that the little baby rabbits had been attacked, treat probably by the racoons. At first I thought, oh, the mother must have moved them, but reality set in and there were signs that I was wrong. I feel so bad, it’s hard to go out into my garden now. My husband is going to clean up the area for me today, remove what is left of the nest. I remember thinking, the last time I was out there, that the rabbit hole was NOT very deep, and because they had grown so much, as you can see in the photos, they now seemed to be too crowded, much too exposed. Of course, I thought mamma rabbit knows best, but not this time. I read on the internet that rabbits make their nests EVEN IN YOUR LAWN!!! Why? That’s amazing to me. I wonder if this will be the last year she makes a nest in my garden. I hope so. I wouldn’t want to see this happen again, not in MY garden.

Hi Car~ So sorry about the cute little baby rabbits. :( The pictures you took of them were lovely, and I am sorry that it all had a bad ending.

Oh, yes, Sylvia, it was very upsetting. Those dear little babies must have been so frightened, but I do trust that nature knows what she is doing, although at times, she seems so cruel.

Lynda, it seems odd to me that the mother rabbits don’t have their nests more protected. Those little babies were so vulnerable. It broke my heart.
