A Robbery

Yesterday, medical as I sat working with my computer, my neighbor across the street was being robbed. I usually get up to stretch my legs, and take a walk outside, but yesterday I didn’t do that. I wish I did, I might have seen something. Apparently, they parked a car up the street from the house, and had the nerve to walk down, into their back yard, smashed a windowpane, reach inside and unlocked the window. Sadly, it was their children that discovered what had happened after returning home from school. I can’t imagine how scared they must have been to find their house totally trashed. Everything was thrown about. Drawers pulled open and everything thrown on the floor. They stole computers, silver, heirloom jewelry, wedding rings, toys, and even their wine. Everything they could get their hands on was gone! I feel so bad for them. I know how it feels. When my husband and I were first married, we had our apartment broken into. It was a horrible feeling to come home and find that complete strangers were in your house, looking thorough all of your personal belongings, and then helping themselves to them!! So be careful, you never know who is watching your comings and goings.

Oh my goodness! That is awful!! Thank goodness they weren’t at home. Things can be replaced but people can’t. I was robbed at gunpoint at work a couple of years ago and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone(except maybe people who do that type of thing!)

I’m sorry for your neighbor. My mother in laws house was robbed years ago. She never locked her doors because she was very trusting and lived out in the country. I remember her saying how violated she felt. For many years she said her house never felt quite the same to her. Nasty business.

Goodness Carole! I came to see pictures of your snow, cause I KNEW you would have some~ nice to see you are all cozy and safe inside, then I read this! BE CAREFUL! Obviously they had cased the neighborhood and knew your neighbors where NOT home, and most likely, that YOU were. How horrible, I hope your neighbrods have luck with finding out who did it, and they can somehow be caught. So glad no one was hurt physically~ give them my best
