Thinking About Spring
The last few days have been pretty mild here in Wilmington, ambulance DE, especially when you consider it’s still the middle of February. This morning when I walked down the driveway to get the paper, it was cold again, but the birds were chirping and the sun felt just a little bit warmer. Sure signs that Spring is on it’s way.
I am so looking forward to getting out in the car again, and driving those country roads of the Brandywine Valley, Chester and Lancaster Counties too. You know I always bring my camera, always hoping to take that perfect photo for you. I remember when I took these. It was a warm Summer day, and I had just pulled into a small market, run by an Amish family. I remember hoping that they didn’t see me taking a pictures of their laundry! What would they think! There were a few horse drawn buggies out front. Now you know I wanted to photograph them! Two of them were children’s carts, drawn by the sweetest little ponies. It was just the cutest thing to see, but I was so afraid that any minute they would come outside and see me taking pictures. I wouldn’t have wanted that, so I didn’t bother, besides, I was anxious to go inside to see the fresh fruits and veggies they had on sale.
Ah, yes, warm weather. I just can not wait until it’s here.
HAPPY DAY!

Great pictures — I also love to take a ride thru the Brandywine Valley — esp in the Fall. We are ‘neighbors’ — I live in Philly.

Hi Carol. I just love this post. In fact, I love all of your posts ~ I come here often for “nourishment.” :~) I visited Lancaster and surrounds for the first time last autumn, and the one photo I posted on my little blog was of Amish laundry on the line. Seeing your photos today took me back to that wonderful trip. Thanks so much. Joy
