Old Fences and Gates
It’s so nice to be home again today. It’s much to hot to work on mother’s house. Yesterday it was close to 100, and and today it will feel much hotter, the humidity is higher, and already it feels unbearable. I worked in my garden yesterday, early, before it go too hot to be outside.

My garden is one of my favorite places to be, and at the end of the day I enjoy sitting there with a glass of ice tea, or more likely, a glass of wine. Years ago this garden was an herb garden, and around that same time we bought our condo at the beach. I spent most of the summers at the beach, and the garden was neglected and got out of control. I had to pretty much do it over again. I lost a lot of my herbs, and now the garden is mostly filled with flowers. Next year we have decided to build another garden on the hill near the pool. We’ll plant more herbs there, along with some vegatables.
I took these photos, of different fences, in a lovely historic town in Delaware, called Odessa. It’s a very small town, with only 2 or 3 streets lined with beautiful old houses. I have to go now, but I hope you enjoy looking at all the beautiful fences.
Happy day.

I would absolutely LOVE to have an old brick home like this one. Too bad you couldn’t get inside to take more pictures.
