What Is It About Wonderful Early Textiles

I am staying at the beach this week with my granddaughter, unhealthy Emily and her friend, salve Lauren. They are still sleeping. It was a long night for them, neither one could put down their new Harry Potter book! I thought this would be a good time to catch up on my blog.

What is it about old textiles that just tug at our heart!

When I travel the back roads of Chester and Lancaster County, searching for early treasures for my country store, textiles ALWAYS catch my eye. I can’t resist taking photos of them and today I want to share those photos with you.

I also have a passion for early bonnets. So sweet hanging in a row on a pegrack, don’t you think?

I hope you have enjoyed these photos today, some of which are available on my website, as cards or 5 x 7 in. prints.
As always, I appreciate your visit and hope you will leave me a comment.
Happy day!

Carole, such pure and sweet pictures. You always take me back to simplicity, which is where i need to be. I admire the lifestyle of “Little House on the Prairie”, and everyone of the episode of them. They had such an outlook back then we just don’t have now. God first, family, and health. the rest just falls into place. Thank you for these lovely pictures.

    Hugs,
    Jeannene
