FS1731 19th Century Cobbler's Wood Boot Form
FS1731 19th Century Cobbler's Wood Boot Form $135.
I have owned this early boot form for over 35 years, and I can't remember when I have seen another one like it. I have had it hanging in my laundry room along with my early wash boards and stocking stretchers. I think it's a wonderful piece of art and would like great in a country or modern home. I am not really sure how it was used, or what it's real purpose was. Inside the square cut out piece on see on the heel area there is a hole lined with tin. Carved on the top of the form is the number 7, I assume that was the size of the boot being made. This form is cut from one piece of wood, and it has a wonderful patina. Measures 18-1/2 inches high. $135. Includes shipping.
